It's an interesting theory. They do share the same voice actress, and they have very similar cadence, too. I definitely feel like Viola was meant to be an older Amy, personally.

She must have a strong connection with Amy. Or Viola was Amy in Soul Calibur V. But I think Amy is confirmed to be Viola.

They're definitely connected, at the least. Soul Calibur VI tells us as much. I personally see Viola as an alternate universe Amy.
