Yup. Another useless thread from yours truly. Was forum browsing on a favorite site of mine, e6, and wondered- why doesn't xbooru let us choose a post as an avatar for commenting or forum-ing? I think that'd be neat. Thoughts? <3 X

Another thing we could adapt from other websites (such as e6) could be flash-support so those could get posted and viewed on here, animated gifs are nice and all but obviously only a certain part looped and mute, but if xbooru's hosting capacity doesn't make it possible that's too bad, but avatars could work and add even more freedom to your profile to what you're like or what you like.

Mmm... E6 flash... Lol. That would be nice too! Or forum picture embedding. Another thing is new to even e6, multiple sources. Then you can put the source and, if different/applicable, where to buy it. Then again, anons seem infuriatingly happy with commenting the source, even when listed... <3 X

There's not much Xbooru's servers can't handle. It's all a matter of software. Working on features like that requires a programmer, and while we have a person who can make that it's definitely not a priority.

Note: Another website we run has Avatars you can choose from posts but that runs entirely different software.

Then this websites software is lame! >:0 lol.

The software is -very- efficiant though! CPU usage is extremely low compared to other booru software out there.

I'm sure those of us running windows 95 appreciate that feature. XD <3

It has nothing to do with the users, its our server load that's low. This way our hosting cost is also lower then the competitors.

Bring it on! The less ads, the better. :3 that being said, I love how e6's forum works.
