New server is going to be installed at around 1 PM (GMT+1) on 5th October. There should be minimum to no downtime during the process of switching the servers.

There should be a notification appearing on the site saying when the switch will occur.

Slayrduck sucks. He wrote a wrong date. xD New server should still be up by the end of the week (knowing Slayerduck, most likely early next week)...AJAJAJAJ.

'Switching'? What happens to the old server?

At this time we have a failover server where if the main server has issues or does not respond it switches over to the backup untill main is responding again. Our current backup can not handle the load anymore so the 'old server' will act as our new backup server.

Changing hardware has nothing to do with the software we run on. So no.
