Body builders with put on a layer of fake-n-bake tan all over their body, then oil up before the show. It's to get a really good showing of the definition. It also makes them look freaky like this when their body is really dark but their face is relatively white. This is why black folks have a bit easier time in competitions. Their naturally dark skin accentuates the definition without looking strange.
