I've been curious about this, Rule34 has a set up just like Xbooru. Plus, there are more Admins then just Slayerduck & Alaron who run the entire Booru site. Besides most of what is uploaded on Xbooru ends up on Rule34 or has come from there. Just a curious question;

good question dave, the reason for this is that xbooru has its own flavor of images. For example on rule 34 does not allow the real random girls. Xbooru is also a booru with more history and its a lot older then rule34 with its own community.

That is what I was thinking, everything asides the Real pics should be transferred over to Rule34 and leave Xbooru for that.

Xbooru should not be limited to just real pics.

Also - rule34 syncs daily from other websiets, Xbooru never syncs. It's entirely user-generated. The only thing that is synced are tags.
