The Xbooru Uploading system is a bit dated, it would be really useful if we could upload & Tag multiple pics at once. It's tiresome uploading & tagging individually every time, we should be able to upload as many pics as we select. Then have the option to Tag each on individually on another page after they've officially been uploaded, just an idea.

Yea like thats gonna happen, people won't tag the images at all anymore. You'll have 100's of pages with just "tagme" images. Essentially destroying the whole booru concept.

The Booru "Concept" was screwed when you openly said this was completely User Generated meaning you couldn't do anything about the horrible tagging of the uploads. I was just thinking of an idea that would help those of us that actually upload a lot, plus add the correct tags.

Who said we can't do anything about it? XD We just can't do as much as we can for the other boorus.

As you remember we synced a fair amount of tags a while ago.

The concept of xbooru is "user-generated-content". It was like this when the site was first created, and the previous owner decided for it to be like that. Why would we change it when people are coming here just for that?

I can ask Slayerduck to sync some more tags but it's fairly difficult to do so.

Hell even Myspace has the feature to upload multiple pictures at once. Actually mostly every Photo uploading website or forum has the ability to upload multiple pics and tag each of them separately, using the excuse of "We'd get pages of Untagged Pics" is pointless because as I've stated you've got an entire section of simple "Tagme". Since only Users can upload Pics, shouldn't you start going by the "At Least Five Tags" rule and put your foot down giving out warnings for users who are just uploading pages of pics with zero tags? It was simple an idea to increase the ability to support Xbooru, User Generated or not you are in command of the uploading features that is something you have complete control over.

I actually think this is a great idea dave but I maybe to help with the tags everyone has a cap on how many they can upload a day? Just an idea.

- Every upload has to have at least five tags, if there aren't five tags it won't officially upload
- Since only users can upload, this is a way you can monitor those who are putting Junk tags to get past the system and warn them or ban them from Xbooru

These two simple guidelines would easily remove the worry of pages of no tagged images, well also making sure that users stick to the guideline rules and actual tag their uploads correctly.

How about we have a 'tagout' day once a week for a while? All the users will be responsible for tagging at least 2 pages of 'tagme' each tagout session.

No way to properly moderate a "Tagout" day. Users can still do it on their own, just no way for me to see that they have done it.

New uploader ideas are going to get scrapped entirely. You guys are saying "Let's put in a whole bunch of rules to have less images on the website". Do you really want less images? Even if poorly tagged ones....?

That and it's not that easy to program an entirely new uploader function. And even if we did do all of this the system would be easily exploitable, just the same way reposts end up on the website despite the protection system being in place.

We may put a limit on uploads but it won't be a small one, just stopping the very extreme cases might be enough.

But do you all really want less images? If you do I think it's easy to arrange.... I can just mass delete the whole tagme section of the website if it's that much of an issue...

On a more serious note, continue the discussion. Ideas are always welcomed.
