I have taken over the site today and will be primary working in the background to improve Xbooru by doing various things such as performance and database optimalisations and keeping tags up to date by using various syncing tools.

You might have noticed a few changes already.

If you have issue's i'd like to point you out to check out Alaron as i have appointed him to be the head of the site. He will take care of Bans and deletion of retarded pictures that have nothing to do with this site. He will also do crowd control to stop racist and bullshit offensive comments.

As Slayerduck said - Xbooru has recently changed owners which led to my arrival on the website.

I want you all to know that Xbooru will remain (mostly) what it is now - it's going to be an entirely user-generated booru but I'll keep a close eye on the forum and uploaded images and hand out bans if people act against the ToS or in an inappropriate way.

I could give you a list of users that need to get banned if they haven't already if you would like, would you rather have the list here in the open or message me?

I'm very glad someone besides me and two others has paid attention to this site, it was becoming a regular ghost town around here. Nothing but Trolls, Spam and nonsense.

I'm banning users based on my own observations. Let's avoid the finger-pointing for now.

It's about time someone took charge and started quality control work. Good luck guys, there's a lot to be done.

On my account, I have noticed some of my favorites are missing, and I didn't do it. So, my question is, is there a hacker on the loose? Because if there is, I want to have a little talk with him/her. Then again, I could just be imagining it.

If you know from WHEN they are missing....We did server work about 10 days ago, while Xbooru was running on the backup server no new content could be added as it would be rolled back a few minutes after the server is in place...

There are no hackers "on the loose". And besides, why would anyone hack a booru?
