I noticed when I first joined I couldn't comment since 'captcha was not solved' but there was no captcha. Why is that?

recapcha died on us, we have switched to hcapcha just now.

Turn off your adblocker, it works for me.

I don't use an adblocker, there's just no captcha to complete when I try and comment, what do I do? It works just fine on the forums.
