You would be correct if they said "we've non-fictionally been to the stars". The meaning here is obviously "we've [fictionally] been to the stars" from the references point of humans that have sensed the least-mediated medium for most of their history and continue to, all the while realizing new a less expansive mediums. Futurama is expressed through this new medium that has been created by humans. As with many stories all the characters in them are expressed as believing that the medium they inhabit is the primary medium instead of a non-primary medium. So from the "point of view" of the characters of Futurama they "non-fictionally have been to the stars"
